Specialized Counsellor

I am a Registered and Specialized Counsellor in Pretoria that practices with the latest research to improve peoples lives, helping to make life easier and more enjoyable for them.

I have my Master’s Degree in Theology (M.Div.), as well as in Pastoral Family Therapy (M.A.) at the University of Pretoria. I am a registered Specialist Wellness Counsellor at the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) and also a Religious Specialist with the Counsel for Pastoral and Spiritual Counsellors (CPSC).

 I completed my studies in Theology at the University of Pretoria and graduated with 3 degrees in Theology. I spent 5 years in the ministry, also providing counselling services to Hospitals. I completed my Master’s Degree in pastoral family therapy, thereafter moving into private practice. I am doing a Doctoral degree and specializing in Homosexual people in poligamous and poliamorous relationships.

 I started Therapy Sessions and Counselling for individuals facing various difficult emotional situations and psychological disorders, as well as couples having difficult relationships due to various reasons.

 

I later realized a special need among the LGBTQ+ community seeking understanding, acceptance and growth in their lives, having no real help or any assistance for them in their personal lives and relationships. This kindled a vested interest and commitment in me to assist the LGBTQ+ community on every level within my capabilities and skills.

 From a religious point of view, I am qualified to practice as a Religious Specialist, but can also work from a neutral non-biased, alternative or non-religious perspective where necessary dependent on an individual’s personal preferences.

My Approach

I believe that every problematic situation or condition has a viable solution. Therefore, I will always help find ways to assist in bringing about complete changes to situations, experiences or interpretations.

My Experience

I spent 5 years in the Ministry before moving into private practice as a Specialized Counsellor going on 14 years now, the last 11 years as  Registered Pastoral Therapist and now also 4 years a Religious Specialist.

My Qualifications

I completed my BA in Theology, BA (Hon) and M.Div. Degrees at the University of Pretoria in 2002. In 2008 I received my M.A. degree with specialization in Pastoral Family Therapy at the University of Pretoria.
